Paddle Sports Show 2025 - Strasbourg

The Paddle Sports Show in Strasbourg was once again a fantastic event! It was great to see what manufacturers from around the world are working on and

bringing out for the next year. The show had a great buzz around it; it felt like a reunion of lifelong friends as well as new friendships being built.

It was brilliant to meet so many different manufacturers, put faces to names, and finally meet people I’ve been dealing with for years. Events like this really highlight how strong and passionate the paddlesports community is.

This year’s show was extra special for me, as it marked the official release of the Palm x Hobson Eclipse RM.Working with Palm on this project has been an absolute pleasure, and it was amazing to see the excitement not only from the dealers attending the show, but also from other manufacturers too.

The idea behind the Eclipse RM was simple - to bring a surf kayak to the market that is not only more affordable, but also accessible to a wider range of paddlers, abilities, and sizes. The feedback on the boat so far has been incredible, and the icing on the cake was the Eclipse RM winning the ‘Dealer Buzz’ award, voted for by attendees for the product they were most excited about!

For me personally, it was a proud moment to see Hobson Kayaks represented on an international stage and to see the Eclipse RM displayed alongside some of the biggest names in paddlesports.

A huge thanks to Palm for the collaboration and for having me at the show. Having a company like Palm onboard, helping to push the sport of surf kayaking forward, can only be a good thing! A special thanks to Snowy for his amazing CAD work and attention to detail - the man is a genius - and to Cheesy for his enthusiasm and faith in the boat from day one.

Shoutout to Kayak Session Magazine for organising such a brilliant event - you could really feel the energy and excitement for what’s coming next in paddlesports.

Keep an eye out for demo opportunities and surf sessions over the coming months - we can’t wait to see more people catching their first waves in the Eclipse RM!
